Fordingbridge World War 1 Commemoration

MISSION STATEMENTFORDINGBRIDGE FIRST WORLD WAR CENTENARY COMMITTEEThe Fordingbridge First World War Centenary Committee is a general affiliation of local organisations – St Mary’s Church, Avonway Community Centre, the Fordingbridge Museum, the Fordingbridge Historical Society and the United Reformed Church collaborating under the leadership of Fordingbridge Town Council. Its purpose is to research what happened in Fordingbridge and the surrounding villages between 1914 and 1918. This research will be used to create a series of events over the next four years commemorating the involvement of local residents in the First World War and subsequently recorded in a form readily accessible to future generations.
